Solarbox — Lightfastness Testing
Realistic simulation of the solar spectrum

Solarbox is designed to test the lightfastness of materials exposed to prolonged solar radiation. It uses a filtered xenon lamp capable of faithfully reproducing the full solar spectrum, including UV, visible and infrared. This enables a rapid, reliable assessment of colour changes, yellowing, embrittlement and loss of functional performance.

Instrument compliant with international standards

Solarbox complies with the main industry standards: ISO, ASTM, SAE, CEN, DIN, BS, UNI. The control of parameters such as light intensity, internal temperature and cycle duration allows extreme and repeatable environmental conditions to be simulated. It is particularly suitable for testing paints, textiles, plastics, leather, coatings, packaging and industrial materials.

Ease of use and advanced control

The user interface is simple and intuitive, with a digital display for setting exposure cycles, light control, temperature and humidity monitoring, and data logging. The accessibility of the chamber and the easily accessible instruments make Solarbox suitable both for research laboratories and for production quality control.
